The Allan and Nesta Ferguson Masters Scholarship is offered in partnership with Sheffield University. International students are welcome to pursue a master’s degree at the university. The Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust Scholarship provides ten scholarships (over three years) to overseas students from impoverished countries to attend a variety of Sheffield Institute for International Development-affiliated courses. Allan and Nesta Ferguson Masters Scholarship 2020 Eligibility
In terms of tuition payment, you must be considered an international student, and you must not be supported by another scholarship organization. Only self-funded students are eligible for the scholarship.
The award is only available to full-time students.
In 2020, you must resume your academic path. The scholarship cannot be carried over to a subsequent academic year.
Applicants who meet all of the admission requirements are eligible for a scholarship.
All immigration requirements must be satisfied by applicants. For example, a study visa to attend university for the 2020 academic year.
Eligible Field of Study: Interested candidate must hold an offer for one of the following courses to study at the University of Sheffield in 2019:

• MA in Social Research
You must be a national of, or permanently domiciled, in one of the following countries or territories:

How to Apply for the Nesta and Allan Ferguson Masters Scholarship in 2020
There are no special requirements for the Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust Scholarship. Applicants to the University of Sheffield’s postgraduate programs are automatically evaluated for the scholarship. If you are a national of, or permanently domiciled in, one of the qualifying countries or territories and get an offer to study one of the eligible courses.
A team of academic judges will evaluate your course application to determine whether you will advance to the final stage of the application process.

The selection procedure
If you are selected for Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust Scholarship, you will be contacted by the scholarship board on Monday 8 June 2020. You might be asked to submit a short personal statement to support your application
If you do not receive an email by Monday 8 June 2020 asking you to submit a personal statement for the Allan & Nesta Ferguson Scholarship you have not been selected for this award.
The final decision for those asked to submit an application will be made by the end of June.
Scholarship benefit: A full tuition waiver and maintenance for university accommodation and a monthly stipend.
